Casa Arancio is a holiday apartment dedicated to short-term rentals located in a strategic position in the renowned fishing village of Chianalea, a district with a centuries-old history rich in characteristic colors, flavors and aromas of the wonderful land of Calabria. The apartment is equipped with all comforts including a delightful balcony from which to enjoy a splendid sea view. Descending a beautiful staircase with a breathtaking view leads from the apartment to a suggestive boat landing from where it is possible to snorkel and swim in the turquoise water; going up, you arrive in the center of the town full of shops, restaurants, delis, fishmongers, bars, clubs and supermarkets.
Adjacent to the landing is the 17th-century three-spout fountain from which the street takes its name and which offers drinking water. Just 350 meters from Casa Arancio, walking through the evocative alleys of Chianalea, you reach equipped beach clubs or free beaches. Casa Arancio is located in a Limited Traffic Zone, so you can easily leave your car outside at 250 meters.

Places to visit
Ruffo Castle in Scilla is home to a museum, the Scilla lighthouse and an unforgettable view of the clear sea. About 23 km away is Reggio Calabria; the national archaeological museum houses the famous Riace bronzes, the Civic Art Gallery preserves works of art dating from the 15th to the 20th centuries. Worth mentioning is the wonderful Falcometà lungomare that D'annunzio loved to describe as the most beautiful kilometer in Italy.
Activities
Staying in our apartment you can experience the real Chianalea, it is poetic to witness the traditional scenes of return with the fishing of the characteristic boats with gangway and turret for sighting swordfish. At the small landing you can rent boats or, it is possible to get on board with professional staff. The Scilla diving center plans visits to the splendid seabed in front of Chianalea for the more adventurous. At 25 km away, the highest peaks of Aspromonte provide MTB and ski slopes.
